Ultimate Steak Burger and Sweet Potato Wedges

  • 1 classic steak burger
  • Potato Brioche bun⁠
  • Gorgonzola
  • Herlume tomato
  • 2 Romaine lettuce leaves
  • Red onion
  • Sweet Ramiro pepper
  • 3 medium sweet potato
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika
  • Instructions

    1. Cut the sweet potato into finger size wedges, sprinkle with one tablespoon of oil and the paprika to coat and give a good season with black pepper and sea salt. Stand in a baking dish in rows skin side down
    2. Bake at 180C for 45 mins until super crispy
    3. Cut the onion into rounds and fry gentle until soft then stand to one side ⁠
    4. Cut a nice slice of tomato’s and salt again then stand to one side for your burger build!⁠⠀
    5. Put the Sweet Ramiro pepper on the hob blacken the whole skin and remove along with the seeds. Again set aside and get ready for your burger build⁠⠀
    6. Toast your bun in a griddle pan until lightly toasted with griddle lines ⁠
    7. Wash you lettuce and let it dry 
    8. Fry your burger in the rest of the olive oil 4 mins each side should be plenty. Once cooked add your hunk of Gorgonzola and cover with a saucepan lid for one minute to slightly melt the Gorgonzola! ⁠⠀
    9. THEN.....Build your burger!⁠⠀
    10. I go...⁠⠀⁠⠀Bottom bun, Lettuce, Tomato, Burger with all the gooey Gorgonzola, Sweet pepper (this works so well as a substitute for ketchup), Onion, Burger top ⁠⠀
    11. Serve with crispy paprika sweet potato wedges ⁠⠀
